When you look at Alain Lescouflair’s work, it can be hard to believe he started shooting only from his cell phone. He is the perfect definition of starting where you are with what you’ve got.

Alain is an insatiable artist who explores every element that surrounds him through his lens. From his morning coffee and the leaves in the backyard, to the people he runs into in the streets and little things that are special to life in Haiti, he basically captures life.

Seeing his evolution into an incredible artist from the moment he decided to take on that first photography challenge has been an enriching experience that we have been privileged enough to witness.

Despite how tough life can be in Haiti and how this sometimes takes a toll on an artist’s creativity, Alain still manages to create magical moments from the little things that make life special. And the small nature-inspired collection below is one example we cannot get enough of!
