Have you always been into illustration? Would you consider your work animation?

Yes, I have always been into illustration. I've been drawing since my second year at kindergarten. And I kept enjoying holding a pencil and let my soul express itself my whole life.

Why is it important for you to share your Haitian culture in your work?

Sharing my Haitian Culture in my work is what fuels my journey. It is the best way I found to own my heritage and honor it in every aspect of my life.

What do you do to overcome a creative block?

I experience creative block very often, fortunately I've found some good ways to deal with it. And my favorite one is going up the mountains and recharging. This never fails and it boost my confidence in the natural flow of every artistic process.

What too 3 advice would you give to other illustrators?

- To never let the child in them grow.

- To listen to what they think is awkward.

- To be their only competitor.
