Hi there, I’m Tamara! I was born and grew up in Haiti. I moved to Costa Rica in 2010. I’ve had a passion for books and art since I was a little kid. Drawing is one of the few things that can change the way I feel and experience the world. Despite my early interest in art, I never received any formal art training. I studied Law and am also passionate about languages and have been a freelance translator for several years; I have had the opportunity to work with organizations such as the Institute for Justice and Democracy for Haiti and CID Gallup Latinoamérica. I believe in lifelong learning and am always looking for ways to hone my skills. This is why everything I do is driven by open-mindedness and curiosity. I also enjoy eating and working out. I’m always exploring all things feminism and women empowerment. When I am not reading or working on a new project idea, you can find me at my pole dance classes or at the beach.
