New York artist Shayla-Mona’e is excited to present her first solo art exhibition ‘Excursions’. On October 5th – Mona’e will feature a collection of new original work that explores transition, adventure, and the relationship between human beings and the world around them.

Shayla is a resident of the Bronx, New York. Her images are inspired by and reflect the life of the mid 20-30 year old adult, who is trying to find stability in their waking life as a means of survival - yet yearns for a more colorful and carefree world. Through animated, dreamlike scenes, Shayla elevates the often-overlooked experience of travel to an exploration of the subtlety of appreciation and existence.
